In some cases, we handle removal of the existing flooring. But if you’re doing it yourself, be sure the floor is fully cleared down to the subfloor and free of staples, glue, or debris.
3. Disconnect Appliances and Electronics
If the installation area includes appliances or wired electronics, unplug and move them to a safe spot. If flooring is being installed in a kitchen or laundry room, disconnect water lines as needed.
4. Create a Clear Path
Ensure the installation crew has a safe and easy path to move materials and tools in and out of your home. Clear hallways and entry points in advance.
5. Keep Kids and Pets Safe
During installation, your home becomes a work zone. For everyone’s safety, we recommend making arrangements for children and pets to stay clear of the work area.
